Skincare has become an increasingly important part of my life not only as I age, but also because I'm in front of the camera more often than I was in my 20s and it's important for me to look my best. Being in my 30s I deal with not only the occasional acne but also fine lines and sun damage (thanks to too much fun in the sun when I was younger and NEVER wearing sunscreen). I'm a huge believer in how diet and exercise affect your appearance and overall health. But let's be honest... eating salmon and avocado all day isn't going to make me Benjamin Button. After having a baby I struggled with melasma and couldn't have been happier to find Dr. Carter and KC Wellness Center and Med Spa. We did a series of Forever Young BBL lasers, which has been found to rejuvenate skin and delay skin aging. Forever Young BBL is the only device that has been shown to change the expression of genes associated with aging, longevity, and increased lifespan. In conjunction with a series of lasers I also used a skincare regimen designed specifically for my skin type. ZO skin health by Zein Obagi was just what my skin needed to lighten dark spots, brighten my skin's overall appearance and give me a more youthful glow. I am incredibly thankful to have found a doctor who understands what women want and need as they age... Dr. Carter is a board certified OBGYN who wants to help women age gracefully. To be honest my skin has never looked better, I rarely wear makeup during the day and find I actually look better without it. I can't wait to continue treatments and skincare with Dr. Carter and the entire team at KC Wellness Center. I am particularly excited about trying Microneedling with PRP (which some of you may know from watching the Kardashians- vampire facial episode). They offer a wide range of treatments and products with a goal of you leaving looking like yourself but better. Which was exactly what I wanted... natural looking results with a glow.
