I thought my traveling days would be limited once I had a baby. Quite the contrary if you plan ahead and tweak your idea of "fun" a bit. I took a toddler to Mexico alone and it was every bit a vacation... If not one of the best I've ever had. We stayed at the Grand Hyatt Playa Del Carmen and it was unbelievably kid friendly without being cheesy (which I dread). I would honestly stay here with or without kids. We took morning dips in the hot tub, swam all day, lunched on fresh fish and meandered around town shopping together. The weather in March was perfection and we only had one day where it rained for a few hours (so we spent our time in the kids area at the Grand Hyatt, which is amazing). We day tripped to the Tulum ruins and lunched at Coqui Coqui. Playa is a fantastic place to walk around town exploring little eateries and shops (very stroller friendly) with small children or without. We rented our stroller and toys from Baja Baby Gear which makes traveling alone extremely easy. I can't wait to return to this magical place filled with wonderful memories.
